The iPhone 8 Plus was released in September 2017 alongside the iPhone 8 and was the first larger format Apple device to make wireless charging without extra accessories possible. The glass and aluminum housing makes this possible, as well as a much slicker, smoother overall aesthetic.
The front and rear camera, as well as battery and chip have all been upgraded, making many refer to it as the iPhone 7S Plus, as it has the same footprint as the earlier release a larger screen and noticeable upgrades and improvements to CPU and camera quality.

*Batteries under 90% will be replaced with third party units. In X series and up battery replacements will show as Service in the settings, this is due to apple serializing their own batteries. This has no affect on the phone itself, it will still function as normal. There is no way around this without having AppleCare+
